The Thunderbird Unipower range are remote controlled energizers with several innovative features. The features include:

- Remote control to turn the energiser off or on from any point along the fence.
- 2 way power source; external battery only, external battery and solar panel, external battery and 240V power supply.
- Current depends on output load, so a light load doesn’t discharge the battery as fast.
- 2 line backlit display for user interaction.
- Large easy to use keypad.
- Volts, amps, stored joules and earth condition displayed while running.
- Adjustable pulse rate from 1.4 – 2.4 seconds in 0.1 second steps.
- Adjustable output level, high, medium or low.
- Adjustable alarm voltage 2.0 – 6.0kV.
- Earth sense warning if an earth sense system is installed; good, fair poor or bad earth
- MB1500 energiser has 2 stages of output power, depending on fence load.
- If a key is pressed while running, the energiser pauses pulsing for maximum safety.
- An audible warning is given before turning on. This is mainly for when the energiser is turned on via remote.
- Alarm output to drive a strobe.
- Earth sensing to ensure a proper earth is installed.
- Multiple low battery warning levels before shutting off.
- Remote control coding so that a neighbour can’t turn off someone’s energiser. (Up to 1024 combinations).
- Remote control flashes to indicate the presence of a pulse.
- Remote control system is sensitive enough to work within 100m or so of a dead short.
- 3 sizes of energiser 5, 10 and 15 joules.

| How does the system work ? |
|
| Thunderbird pet systems use a small, and completely safe electrical shock. similar to a static charge from a vehicle. The animal touches the live wire (this wire is totally insulated from the ground) the high voltage safe pulse travels through the animals body, back to the earth stake—when the pet receives a small shock. |
Caution: Ensure adequate supervision against young children playing with fence, fence could cause harm if prolonged entanglement situations. |
